Sustainability Report 2009

Following on from last year's report, the 2009 report focuses on four key areas - People, Clients, Finance and Consistency. The report highlights the efforts of our people, our performance and priorities in these areas and provides an update of promises and commitments.

The 2009 report has been prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the international standard guidelines on corporate sustainability reporting. Whilst this is our first year of GRI reporting, we believe the discipline of reporting to an international standard is prudent and the indicators on which St Hilliers has reported in this document are a reflection of current and emerging sustainability issues.

We also recognise reporting to this standard is a journey requiring us to build on the areas we currently report against and this will involve continual review of our goals and strategies. This is an important element in our wish to remain accountable for the impact of our operations and to be open and transparent in all our dealings. We welcome our stakeholders to join us on this journey to create a shared vision towards sustainability.
